I’m April Ibarra. Gerontologist and speaker and Aging Advisor know for my sassy approach to aging.


I first fell in love with older adults when I was nineteen years old and began teaching exercise classes in a nursing home. My entire career has been dedicated to helping others age well and now I that I am an older woman I am even more determined to help others on their journey.

I founded Aging Advisor for everyone who is growing older but not ready to grow old. My mission is to guide older adults and their loved one through the aging journey.


With over 35 years of experience in healthcare I am a passionate advocate committed to empowering aging adults and supporting those who love them. I hold a Master’s degree in Gerontology from Miam University and I am a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)® and an Aging Life Care Professional®.
